African Bar Association Issues Disclaimer On Former Secretariat Administrator, Faith Onyekperem

The African Bar Association has issued a formal disclaimer concerning its former Secretariat Administrator, Faith Onyekperem, following the termination of her services.

In an official notice dated April 8, 2026, the Association informed its members and partners that Onyekperem’s employment was terminated on November 3, 2025. The Association stated that the termination letter clearly directed her to return all properties belonging to the organisation and to relinquish administrative control of all its platforms, including those she created during her tenure.

According to the statement, Onyekperem has failed to comply with these directives. The Association expressed concern over her continued association with its platforms and activities despite her disengagement from official duties.

The African Bar Association has therefore cautioned its members, stakeholders, and the general public against engaging with Onyekperem on any matters relating to the organisation. It emphasized that she no longer has any authority to act on its behalf or represent its interests in any capacity.

The notice further warned that any individual or entity that conducts business with her in relation to the Association does so at their own risk. The Association reiterated its position to safeguard its operations and maintain institutional integrity.

The disclaimer was issued from the Association’s Secretariat in Abuja, underscoring its commitment to transparency and proper administrative conduct within its structure.

The development marks a firm stance by the African Bar Association to distance itself from any unauthorized representation and to ensure that its official channels remain secure and credible.
