The President of the African Bar Association, High Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark, has sent a goodwill message to the National Conference of Black Lawyers ahead of its 2025 Annual Conference taking place from November 13 to 16 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
In the message, the AFBA President congratulated the National Conference of Black Lawyers on convening this year’s gathering, which carries the theme *“Inspiring the Next Generation of Legal Warriors in the Movement for Black Liberation.”*
Mark said the theme reflects a shared commitment to preparing young legal professionals to champion justice, equity, and the liberation of people of African descent across the world. He noted that both AFBA and NCBL remain united in a historic mission to strengthen legal institutions, defend human rights, and challenge systems that undermine the dignity and freedom of Black communities.
He described AFBA and NCBL as partners in a strong transatlantic alliance dedicated to advancing legal activism, cultural pride, and intellectual cooperation. According to him, this collaboration will continue to inspire the next generation of lawyers to uphold the values of courage, integrity, and service.
The AFBA President wished the National Conference of Black Lawyers a successful and impactful conference, expressing confidence that the deliberations in Atlanta would energize the global movement for justice and strengthen collective efforts across the African continent and the diaspora.
High Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark closed his message with reaffirmed solidarity, celebrating the enduring bond between AFBA and NCBL and their shared commitment to the advancement of Black liberation worldwide.
