Please be informed that the President of the African Bar Association, Mr. Hannibal Uwaifo has constituted the Malawi Support Initiative Commission as part of efforts to mobilize support for International efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Citizens of Malawi affected by the recent cyclone which killed several Persons and rendered many homeless. The Commission is headed by eminent Professor of Law of Baze University, Nigeria and Member of the Governing Council of AFBA, Prof Jerry Agbo Madaki. Other Members of the Committee are Ms. Naomi Crusoe (Liberia), Mr. Stanislaus Ajong (Cameroun) and Maitre Faisi Amina(Algeria).
The Commission is to seek donations of funds, Human necessaries and other logistical support for the needy on behalf of the African Legal Community. While all the respected Members of our Association are expected to donate generously, the Commission’s appeal should extend to every corner and beyond the legal Profession. The President wishes the Committee success in this very important Mission.
