The families of Late Mark A. Kanu, Late Jeremiah K. Ukpabi, and Late Wokocha Worhorti have announced the passing of their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Priscilla Queen Nwanediye Mark, who died peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 95.
Mrs. Mark, described by her family as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter, lived a long and impactful life spanning from 1930 to 2025. Her transition, the family said, represents a “change from mortality to immortality,” marked by gratitude to God for her years of grace.
She was the mother of High Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark, President of the African Bar Association (AfBA), who serves as the Chief Mourner.
The family released details of her rites of passage as follows:
• Thursday, January 22, 2026, 4 pm – Service of Songs at St. Martins Anglican Church, Omagwa.
• Saturday, January 24, 2026, 10 am – Burial Service at St. Martins Anglican Church, Omagwa, followed by interment at Ihunda Castle, Omucheta-Omagwa.
• Sunday, January 25, 2026, 10 am – Thanksgiving Service at St. Martins Anglican Church, Omagwa. A reception will follow at the residence of High Chief Ibrahim Eddy Mark, Ihunda Castle, Omucheta, Omagwa.
The family encouraged sympathisers, friends, and associates to join them in honouring the life and legacy of the late matriarch.
