High Chief Ibrahim Eddie Mark, took over as President of the association at the end of the association’s 2024 Annual Conference held in Lusaka Zambia. High Chief Mark is a distinguished legal practitioner who hails from Omolo-Omagwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria.  In his career, he has achieved important milestones and made significant  contributions to legal education, judicial reforms, and professional service not only in Nigeria but also across Africa.

High Chief Mark was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990 and attended the Harvard Business School in 2014.  He is a member of several organisations including  the Nigerian Bar Association, in which he held the office of General Secretary from 2008 to 2010, the American Bar Association (International), the International Association of Asset Recovery, the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, the International Bar Association (IBA) the Commonwealth Bar Association and the African Bar Association. High Chief Mark is  a Life Bencher in the Body of Benchers in Nigeria.

High Chief Mark has served and given exemplary leadership in various capacities during his legal career. These positions include membership of the Council of Legal Education and membership of  the Legal Aid Council, both in Nigeria; Chairman, Maiduguri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chairman, Borno State Football Association; Life Member, NEC, Nigerian Bar Association;  Vice President, (Budget & Finance) African Bar Association; Chairman, Nigeria Football Federation Appeals Committee; Senior Vice President, African Bar Association.

He is a Partner at City Law Firm in Abuja, Nigeria.
